Description

Cell Lysis Buffer II is a high-quality, ready-to-use lysis buffer suitable for the preparation of cell extracts for ELISA, western blotting, and antibody bead immunoassays (Luminex) applications. The buffer is used for total protein extraction and utilizes detergent-based lysis, eliminating the need for mechanical cell disruption. The formulation helps retain the protein structure and function needed for enzyme assays or immunoassays.

Buffer formulation: 50 mM Tris, pH 7.4, 250 mM NaCl, 5 mM EDTA, 50 mM NaF, 1 mM Na3VO4, 1% detergent, 0.02% NaN3

This cell lysis buffer does not contain protease inhibitors and should be supplemented with 1 mM PMSF and protease inhibitor cocktail (Cat. No. A32955) just prior to use.
